Profissões
Overview
Professions in Ravendawn are non-combat tasks you can complete to achieve materials for creating and upgrading things for your adventure. From upgrading your house, creating powerful new gear, or modifying your ship to cross the seas, the lands' bounties are ripe to help your journey. Professions are split into gathering and crafting professions. Gathering professions such as husbandry and mining generate resources, while crafting professions transform raw materials into processed ones, such as consumables and equipment.
Progression
Each profession levels independently of each other and does not require an exclusive commitment -- You may level up all professions. The experience you gain from the profession actions is dependent on the difficulty; a level 1 task will yield less experience than a level 10, for example. From the first levels of each of the professions, you are very limited on what you can do. As you increase your levels, new recipes will be unlocked.
Crafting
To successfully craft an item you need to fill the progress bar without reaching zero on both labor and durability. Crafting requires you to use crafting skills to complete a craft. As soon as you begin crafting, you skill bar will change to a crafting based skill bar. Depending on your skill level, you’ll gain more and more usable craft skills as you develop your crafting further.
- Progress: Tracks your progress toward completing the craft successfully.
- Quality: Tracks the quality of the resulting craft. Filling it once will yield a high quality item, filling it twice will yield a superior item, and filling it thrice will yield an artisan item.
- Durability: The amount of durability available for your craft. If the durability runs out then the craft will be unsuccessful. Certain crafting skills can restore durability.
- Labor: The amount of labor available for your craft. Every crafting skill consumes labor. Additional labor can be gained via passives, crafting gear and trinkets.
- Condition: The current crafting skill modifier, which changes every time you use a crafting skill. "Normal" condition causes the crafting skill to happen at 100% effectiveness, "Good" condition causes the crafting skill to happen at 110% effectiveness, "Great" condition causes the crafting skill to happen at 120% effectiveness and "Excellent" condition causes the crafting skill to happen at 150% effectiveness.
Crafting Skills
Crafting skills can be placed into one of the following categories:
- Synthesis: Used to increase your progress towards completing the craft of the chosen item.
- Touch: Used to increase the quality bar of the chosen item.
- Shine: Improves the condition quality. This helps you to maximise your synthesis and touch usage.
- Mend: Restores durability.
Oversupply
Every character has a daily amount of crafting experience they can gain before entering oversupply. Once in oversupply, the cost to craft an item increases exponentially, in order to prevent the game to be flooded with too many items. Oversupply is decreased by 5% (of total amount) every hour.
